Andalusia is for Sharing Good Times with Family and Friends

One of the hardest moments of being a father is giving your little girl away in marriage. However, this emotional day may be a little easier to handle when the ceremony takes place at home.  The youngest daughter of Ken and Betty Norcross, Heather, was recently married to Sam Shuck on the beautiful Rees Jones golf course of Andalusia at Coral Mountain; the reception was held at the club’s Tapas Restaurant.

“The only place better would have been our backyard, but we couldn’t fit 120 people there,” states Ken Norcross. “It was a beautiful wedding, the setting was perfect and the Andalusia staff did a fabulous job.  My daughter was very happy. That is a day we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.”

Besides celebrating the love of Heather and Sam, several of the wedding guests also fell in love – with Andalusia  – a couple from Northern California and another from Austin, Texas. Both couples are now seriously considering moving to Andalusia.

As the Norcross family celebrates Father’s Day this year, among their favorite memories of living at Andalusia are visits from their three grandchildren from Connecticut, ages 12, 14 and 16.  Ken likes to take the grandkids fishing in the lake behind their home which overlooks the fourth green of the golf course; they enjoy playing golf and then there was the time that their grandson cut their granddaughter’s hair during a visit… This same granddaughter, Nicole, now 12, served as the flower girl in the recent wedding.

Abbie and Tony Coppola also appreciate the spectacular setting and many amenities of Andalusia for hosting visiting family.  Between the two of them, they have five children. They also have three grandchildren, ages 2, 4 and 6.

This past year the Coppolas held a 40th birthday party for Abbie’s son, Scott, at their home. Tony’s two sons who live in LA, Chris, an actor, and Michael, a writer, often visit and enjoy staying in the casita.

Arriving at the courtyard entry of the Coppola’s Andalusia residence, their 4-year old granddaughter, Vera, asked if they lived in a castle!  Even grown kids are impressed with the quality and Spanish-style architecture. “The architecture, the beauty, the mountains and the people -- we’re still in love with Andalusia and so thrilled we bought here,” comments Abbie. “Yes, the people,” Tony reiterates.

For Father’s Day and all year long, Andalusia at Coral Mountain offers a magical setting for
celebrating the good life with family and friends.
