Andalusia Known As Friendly Community
If Disneyland is the “Happiest Place on Earth” well then Andalusia at Coral Mountain just might be the “Friendliest Place on Earth.”
When asked what she likes most about Andalusia at Coral Mountain, resident Jennifer Evans, who moved to Andalusia with her husband, Mickey, as newlyweds in late 2006, simply said, “I like the people. I grew up in California and most of the areas I’ve lived in, people pull in their garage and you don’t meet them. I know more people here at Andalusia than any community I’ve lived in.”
Cathy Behl, who with her husband, Bill, lives part time in Rancho Santa Fe and part time at Andalusia, comments, “There’s a really nice community feeling to Andalusia and we’ve made a lot of great friends here.”
“The people, the people,” states Tony Coppola who moved to Andalusia two years ago with his wife, Abbie.
Abbie comments, “I have made so many friends. I can’t believe how close I have become with my new friends. The people of Andalusia are not pretentious at all. They are very nice and warm.”
“One of my best friends I met on the walking trail,” states Abbie. “The walking trail is very important to us. We walk it every day, we socialize on it and we’ve made new friends on the trail. It brings people together.”
The dog park is another community gathering spot, even for those who don’t have dogs! “We don’t have a dog, but I sit at the dog park and visit with friends,” adds Abbie. The Coppolas also don’t play golf, but they have many avid golfers among their friends at Andalusia.
You might just think that Andalusia attracts gregarious, fun-loving people. And you would be right. But even for those who are a little shy about meeting people, there are a number of community events including theme parties, fitness classes, tennis clinics, book clubs and other opportunities to inspire the growing camaraderie.
“Andalusia has drawn some very unique people from all walks of life,” comments Pat Veysey who was among the community’s first homeowners with her husband, John. “We all seem to click with everything the community has given us from incredible amenities to a very friendly and professional staff,” states Pat Veysey. “Andalusia is a great group of people who enjoy each other. And it doesn’t matter whether you play golf or tennis, everyone welcomes everyone.”
