Currently ranked in the top 5 by Golf Digest Magazine, the internationally renowned Rees Jones has designed more than 100 golf courses, including Torrey Pines Golf Club, Monterey Peninsula Country Club, Nantucket Golf Club and Atlantic Golf Club. He has also remodeled another 100 courses, including the remodeling of seven US Open courses, which earned him the nickname of "The Open Doctor." He is noted among Golf Digest's list of the most powerful people in golf.

The private East Course at Andalusia Country Club is the first Coachella Valley golf course design for Rees Jones. Rising from the desert floor and tilted to maximize views of Coral Mountain, the 7,450 yard, par 72 course will offer beauty, challenge and an exciting golf experience. The Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) rates the East Course 76.0 from the back tees at 7,521 yards, and 66.6 from the front at 5,489 yards. Bunkers have been placed strategically to affect strategy from all five sets of tees, so players of every level will enjoy a challenging game.

The homes will sit elevated and won't encroach on the golf course, yet will have long vistas of the course's cascading water features and desert landscaping. For golfers, the greatest joy will be to play this inspiring course - the first of two private courses planned for the community.
